Accomplishments

Here is a list of some of my major accomplishments throughout my music career:

03/05/1971

I played the trombone for my first concert ever with the Wind Ensemble at Ponce de Leon Junior High School.

06/1976

I did my first gig playing bass with The New World, one of the top bands in South Florida. It took place at the Sonesta Beach Hotel in Key Biscayne.

06/08/1976

I purchased an Acoustic 406 Bass speaker bottom with 2 Herald-Eminent 15-inch speakers from Carroll Music.

08/28/1976

I purchased an Acoustic 370 Bass amplifier from Ace Music Center.

09/10/1976

I purchased a King 3-B Model 1403 Trombone with a laquer finish.

11/15/1976

I purchased a 1976 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar with a maple neck, natural finish and black pickguard from Ace Music Center.

01/24/1978

I purchased a 1977 Fender Precision Bass with a maple neck, black finish and black pickguard from Ace Music Center.

04/04/1978

I auditioned on bass with The Hotlanta Band.

05/09/1978

I did my first gig playing bass with The Hotlanta Band at Giovanni’s in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.

09/13/1978

I purchased a Kramer Electric Bass Guitar with an aluminum neck from Carroll Music Corp.

02/12/1979

I purchased an Acoustic 301 folded horn bass cabinet with a Cerwin-Vega 18-inch speaker from Carroll Music Corp.

11/28/1981

I played bass with The New World for a wedding all the way in Denver, Colorado.

06/27/1982

I played bass with the New World at a party for Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula.

12/25/1982

I played bass with The New World for a Bar Mitzvah where Lionel Hampton was a guest. He also sat in with the band.

05/17/1983

I played bass with The New World for a party for the Bulgarian Pink Islands.

01/07/1984

I played bass on a New World gig with Lari White.

I started a new job as Music Engraver for Columbia Pictures Publications, which later became known as CPP/Belwin, then Warner Bros. Publications) and is now part of Alfred Publishing.

I did my first gig with Galaxy, playing bass at the Sheraton River House.

04/11/1986

First night at the Upstairs Downtairs Lounge at the Doral Beach Hotel with Galaxy featuring Elvy Rose.

06/25/1986

I played bass for a show with Galaxy at the Parallel Bar which featured Little Anthony & The Imperials.

07/02/1986

I played bass for a show with Galaxy at the Parallel Bar which featured The Tokens.

07/16/1986

I played bass for a show with Galaxy at the Parallel Bar which featured The Marvelletes.

09/07/1989

I wrote the first of 30 sheet music arrangements for a music book by The Turtles. This freelance project was the first large arranging project that I did for CPP/Belwin (now known as Warner Bros. Publications).

09/28/1990

I wrote the first of 5 sheet music arrangements for songs from the “Put Yourself In My Shoes" CD by Clint Black.

03/21/1991

My “Star Track” MIDI sequencing software makes its debut with Galaxy at the Lago Mar Country Club.

07/20/1992

I wrote the first of 9 sheet music arrangements for songs from the "Good Stuff" CD by the B-52’s.

06/1993

I wrote sheet music arrangements for two songs from the “Mi Tierra” CD by Gloria Estefan.

1994

I worked on the production of The World’s Greatest Fakebook, a project that took over a year to complete!

03/21/1995

I wrote my first arrangement with “MusicStar”, a music notation computer program that I developed myself.

07/13/1995

I wrote the original sheet music arrangement edition of the song Macarena by Los del Rio.

09/1995

I received an award from Sandy Feldstein, who was the president of  Warner Bros. Publications at the time.

11/09/1995

I wrote “You’ll See”, the first of two sheet music arrangements from the “Something To Remember” CD by Madonna.

09/12/1996

I wrote the original sheet music arrangement edition of the song “One Clear Voice” by Peter Cetera.

12/13/1996

My “Live” MIDI sequencing software makes its debut with Galaxy at the Dadeland Marriott.

02/08/1997

My “CyberGig” MIDI sequencing software makes its debut with Galaxy at the Westin Resort in Miami Beach.

03/15/1997

I played drums with Galaxy at the Indian Creek Country Club and saw and spoke to Don Shula.

05/14/1997

I wrote the first of 10 sheet music arrangements from the “Dancin’ on the Boulevard” CD by Alabama with my “Visual Music for Windows” music notation software, a complex computer program that I developed myself.

01/13/1998

First gig with Steven Chase Orchestras at the Crown Plaza Hotel.

06/17/1998

First gig with the S.O.S. Band at Club S.O.S.

09/19/1998

First concert playing keyboards with Lyons at the Knights of Colombus with Felix Pastorius on bass and Bobby Thomas Jr. on drums.

1999

Record gig year for me with a total of 101 music performances!

First Galaxy gig with my “CyberGig” MIDI sequencing software in conjunction with 14.1-inch Flat-Panel LCD color monitors (instead of the 9-inch Super VGA monochrome CRTs that were used before) at the Sonesta Beach Resort.
