Peter Cetera

When I started playing music at the age of 14, the band Chicago was my favorite group and was also one of my biggest influences. As a teenager, I listened to Chicago’s records for hours and usually played my trombone along. Peter Cetera was Chicago’s original bass player. He also sang my favorite song, “(I’ve been) Searchin’ So Long”.

One Clear Voice - Peter Cetera

09/12/1996  “One Clear Voice”, the title of this song, is also a good description of Peter Cetera’s singing. I wrote the original sheet music edition of this song for Warner Bros. Publications. When I was a kid, Peter Cetera sang most of my favorite songs by my favorite band, Chicago. Back then, I dreamed of someday joining this renowned band. Although that did not happen, I was quite pleased of having had the opportunity to work on one of their previous member’s songs.
